Adhesives

The success of a rubber lining applications is fully dependent on the application of an adhesive system compatible to that of the physical properties of the rubber lining. Both the Permobond®, un-cured hot bond, and Rubber Source’s Premium Pre-cured requires a specific adhesive system; the process better known as hot and cold bonding. Both adhesive systems will allow the rubber to be adhere to the metal substrate, as well as to itself in the butt joints or overlap construction.

Primers and Adhesives are activated by heat during vulcanization of elastomer to the substrate.
